Individual Therapy
Stress in life is unavoidable, but can sometimes overpower your ability to manage everyday tasks. In addition, so few of us have people in our lives with whom we can sit down and simply be; leading us to feel alone, isolated, and overwhelmed. In our sessions, you will have our full, undivided attention. Together, we will make therapy a collaborative process to address whatever presenting issues you bring into the room, increase your coping skills, and help you to become more intra and interpersonally connected to yourself and those around you.
YOU DO NOT HAVE TO FACE YOUR STRUGGLES ALONE, LET US HELP YOU WORK THROUGH:
Sexual abuse
Burnout
Women’s issues
Life transitions
Work stress
EMDR
Couples Counseling
Any argument, big or small, can lead to deterioration in intimate relationships. Humans are interdependent creatures by nature—that is, we rely a great deal on others physically and emotionally to meet our most primal needs. Thus, your intimate relationship is one of great importance, and may trigger your deepest insecurities or painful experiences. Weaving two distinctly separate histories together is no easy feat.
Together, we will reinforce your and your partner’s bond by recognizing trigger behaviors and miscommunications that contribute to negative patterns. Allow us to help you and your partner to build upon your relationship and make it more open, communicative, and secure.
WE HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH THE FOLLOWING COMMON COUPLE ISSUES:
Infidelity and Affairs
Overcoming Emotional Distance
Parent Coaching
Multicultural Relationships
Life Transitions
Blended Families
Co-Parenting
Dating + Relationships
Family Therapy
Self-doubt and insecurity in familial relationships can leave members uncertain about the future, and can be damaging to family systems. Family therapy is unique in that the entire family system is treated as the client; there is no one person that “has the problem.” Instead we will look at the various repetitive–and often perpetuating–cycles and sequences that members get caught up in, and clarify how these are affecting your family’s overall functioning.
It will be up to each individual family member to commit to therapy in order for our work to be most effective. You are the experts on your own lives, and it is a privilege for us to bear witness to the interactions that lead to strengthening bonds and improving familial relationships.
IN FAMILY THERAPY WE HAVE WORKED WITH AND TREATED:
Communication challenges
Aging
Relationship Strain
Adult Children at Home
Adult Sibling Relationships
Grief
Family Transitions
Eating disorders within the context of family
