In addition, so few of us have people in our lives with whom we can sit down and simply be; leading us to feel alone, isolated, and overwhelmed. In our sessions, you will have our full, undivided attention. Together, we will make therapy a collaborative process to address whatever presenting issues you bring into the room, increase your coping skills, and help you to become more intra and interpersonally connected to yourself and those around you.

Self-doubt and insecurity in familial relationships can leave members uncertain about the future, and can be damaging to family systems. Family therapy is unique in that the entire family system is treated as the client; there is no one person that “has the problem.” Instead we will look at the various repetitive–and often perpetuating–cycles and sequences that members get caught up in, and clarify how these are affecting your family’s overall functioning.

It will be up to each individual family member to commit to therapy in order for our work to be most effective. You are the experts on your own lives, and it is a privilege for us to bear witness to the interactions that lead to strengthening bonds and improving familial relationships.
