Say hello to Autonomy Therapist Phoebe Rankin (She/Her)
LCSW
Clinical Therapist
Are you searching for help because you are unsure of how to proceed? Taking these first steps and seeking help is a courageous one, and I am already incredibly proud of you for being here! When we experience traumas, we are often left feeling stuck or alone in our journey. I want us to work together to help you regain the ability to move through your life once again. I approach this task with the awareness that you are the expert on your own life, and I enjoy getting to share a space with you as you begin to take back your inner voice. Our time together will be spent getting to know each other, identifying your therapeutic goals so that we can formulate a game plan on how to move forward, and then doing the work – together, because you no longer have to struggle in silence or alone.
My goal for your journey into therapy is to build a connection with you that is a deep and meaningful relationship; one I will never take for granted. I am an attentive listener that is incredibly nonjudgmental which allows you to safely talk about your traumas and concerns in a supportive, caring, and safe environment. I utilize a person-centered, strengths-based approach while using mindfulness techniques to help you reach your therapy goals. I am also EMDR-informed. I aim to help you reframe your negative internal thoughts and bad headspace, identify and heal any unhelpful behaviors and thought patterns, and work with you to develop a lifestyle that works best for you.
My specialties are working with people who come from extensive personal trauma, are struggling with anxiety or depression, people with neurodivergent brains trying to understand the world around them and give them tools to apply to their everyday life to ease any suffering, and members of the LGBTQIA2S+ community. Outside of the office, you will find me spending time with my partner and our four sons, my nose buried in a book, playing video games, hyper fixating on my latest craft project, or preparing for/playing Dungeons and Dragons!
