Say hello to Autonomy Therapist Natalie Desai (She/Her)

St. Edward’s Graduate Student

Therapist in training

When there is too much happening without and within, it feels near impossible to slow down and quiet the chaos alone. My hope is to be a soft spot to land in the midst of the ever-increasing list of harsh demands imposed by circumstances and, often, our own inner critic.

I am currently a graduate student, working to complete my Master’s in Counseling. I’m passionate about knowing my clients, collaboratively exploring what works and doesn’t work for you, celebrating the sweet moments, and getting a little teary-eyed alongside you on the days when life feels heavy.

My academic and professional journey is centered around Satir Therapy and Relational Cultural Therapy approaches because I believe that every individual has been shaped by relationships and experiences from their past, which informs their present. I also believe that everyone has the potential for positive change, and that through a deeper understanding of oneself and others, you can achieve meaningful personal and relational transformation to live a more authentic and connected life.

I am particularly interested in anxiety therapy, identity work, life transitions, emotional well-being, and relational struggles. I work with adolescents ages 12+, individuals 18+, and couples.

I hope you find what you’re looking for in counseling - whatever that might be!
