Therapist in training
Being a person who always shows up for others, does everything “right,” and still feels disconnected from yourself can be exhausting. Maybe you’re so used to people-pleasing or striving for perfection that you’re not sure what you actually want, or how to make decisions that prioritize you. Or perhaps you’re navigating a big life transition like starting college, stepping into the working world, or figuring out who you are in relationships. All of this can feel overwhelming and isolating. If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone. Therapy with me is a space to slow down, get curious about your inner world, and reconnect with your most authentic, empowered Self.
I am currently a graduate student at St. Edward’s University, working toward my Master’s in Counseling. I specialize in working with older adolescents, teens, and young adults navigating anxiety, stress, disordered eating, body image concerns, trauma, perfectionism, and life transitions. Many of the clients I work with struggle with people-pleasing, disconnection from their sense of Self, and uncertainty about how to make choices that truly reflect their needs and values. I also work with individuals who lean toward more avoidant attachment styles, supporting them in building safety and connection at a pace that feels right.
My approach is rooted in compassion, curiosity, and the belief that no one is broken. Therapy with me isn’t about “fixing” you or offering quick solutions, it’s about slowing down, listening to the many dynamic parts of you, and building a more caring, empowered relationship with yourself. I draw from Internal Family Systems (IFS) and parts work, attachment-focused and relational approaches, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to connect with values, and somatic practices to help you tune into the wisdom of your body. Together, we’ll explore how to live more authentically and intentionally, guided by your values, intuition, and Self.
As a queer therapist, I also want to acknowledge that identity is an important part of the therapeutic process. For clients who are queer and/or questioning, I offer a supportive, affirming space to explore what this means for you, without centering my own experience.
I know firsthand that opening up to someone new can feel intimidating, and I want to honor the courage it takes to take this step. You are not just a diagnosis or a number: You are a whole person with complex emotions, experiences, and stories that matter. My hope is to create a down-to-earth, compassionate environment where you feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow into the most authentic version of yourself.
