Therapist in training

Are you searching for a safe space to talk about what’s been weighing on your mind lately? Do you want to take control of your anxious thoughts? If so, you’ve found the right place. I want to acknowledge that taking the step to reach out for help is powerful and brave, and I’m honored to meet you where you are.

I am a graduate student at St. Edward’s University who uses cognitive behavioral and narrative therapy practices. I’m passionate about working with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, body image, existentialism, life adjustments, and grief. Using a variety of techniques, I aim to create a collaborative atmosphere with clients who are ready to conquer what may be holding them back. I am committed to creating a supportive and inclusive therapeutic environment where LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC clients feel safe and valued. Before becoming a therapist, I was a reporter and copy editor for various local newspapers throughout Texas. Journalists, teachers, and retirees hold a special place in my heart, and I also enjoy working with people who were raised in single-parent households or are struggling with spiritual identity. I work with adults and teens 16+.

I am compassionate and curious, and I aim to help clients reframe negative internal thoughts they have about themselves to be more neutral or positive. I use a person-centered narrative approach, and I truly listen to understand—not just to respond. My role is to help clients get bothersome thoughts out of their minds and into the room, so they can be processed and healing can occur. Together we can identify unhelpful patterns and assemble tools that help you feel your best as you navigate this world.

Outside the office, you’ll find me at a concert, trying new food and drink spots in Austin, and planning my next trip. I especially enjoy spending time with my loved ones, people and pets alike.
