Say hello to Autonomy Therapist Beth Marshall (She/Her)
LPC-Associate
Supervised by: Marjorie O'Connor, MPsy., LPC-S, LCDC
Clinical therapist
Are you searching for a safe space to talk about what’s been weighing on your mind lately? Are you feeling ready to confront your anxious thoughts? If so, you’ve found the right place. I want to acknowledge that taking the step to reach out for help is powerful and brave, and I’m honored to meet you where you are.
I’m an LPC-Associate who works from a person-centered lens. I draw from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), existential therapy and somatic practices. I’m passionate about supporting clients navigating anxiety, depression, body image concerns, existential questions, life transitions, and grief. My approach emphasizes collaboration and a deep respect for each person’s inner experience. I strive to create a supportive and inclusive space where LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC clients feel seen, safe, and valued.
I bring compassion and curiosity to my work, creating space for all parts of you to be seen and heard. Rather than trying to quickly reframe negative thoughts, I support clients in turning toward these thoughts with openness—recognizing them as expressions of parts that may be trying to protect or alert them in some way. I use a person-centered, narrative approach and truly listen to understand, not just to respond. My role is to help you bring these internal experiences into the room where they can be acknowledged, explored, and gently unburdened. Together, we’ll identify patterns, deepen your connection to yourself, and build tools that support your healing and well-being as you move through the world.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a reporter and copy editor for local newspapers across Texas, so journalists hold a special place in my heart. I also enjoy working with individuals raised in single-parent households or those exploring their spiritual identity. I see both adults and adolescents ages 12+.
Outside the office, you’ll find me at a concert, trying new food and drink spots in Austin, and planning my next trip. I especially enjoy spending time with my loved ones, people and pets alike.
