Therapist in training
The search for a therapist that you feel connected to can be difficult and stressful, but you are not alone. As a therapist, my role is to provide you with a welcoming space for you to feel heard, supported, and understood. My goal is to provide that sense of belonging and connection where you can be met with empathy and the knowledge that your story is both valued and important. Ultimately, I am here to meet you where you are and to help you explore whatever life throws your way. I look forward to working with you as you discover your path forward.
I am a graduate student therapist-in-training at St. Edward’s University, and I work with children, teens, and adults of all ages. I enjoy working with those navigating challenges like anxiety, depression, life changes and transitions, body-image concerns, and identity. I also welcome working with members of the LGBTQIA2S+ community.
My therapeutic approach is centered around empathic listening. Your story is important, and my goal is to provide you with a compassionate, non-judgmental space to share it. I include techniques from therapeutic approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences in a way that helps you make meaning and understanding. I also draw from person-centered foundations that focus on honoring the individual, because no two people are exactly alike and therapy should reflect that. Outside of the office, I can often be found reading, playing Dungeons & Dragons, and crafting.
