About Us

OUR VISION & VALUES
Inspire an authentic connection between mind & body
Autonomy Therapy
Cultivate Connection
The greatest predictor of positive therapeutic outcomes is the relationship we build with our clients in therapy, so our attention, curiosity, and energy are always directed towards cultivating genuine, trustworthy, and resilient relationships with clients.
Inspire Healing
No cookie-cutter approach here: We meet each and every client exactly where they are on their individual growth journey, which allows us to effectively co-create the most personalized therapeutic experience for improving their relationships with food, exercise, and body image.
Encourage Authenticity
We use evidence-based research and collaborative therapeutic approaches to support clients in eating disorder recovery, and finding what information and strategies fit best for them to develop lasting trust with themselves physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Our Vision
Our Vision
At Autonomy Therapy, we strive to create a space in which people are seen, valued, and respected by who they are inside as opposed to what their bodies look like.
Mission + Core Beliefs
Mission + Core Beliefs

What distinguishes us from other therapy practices is that all of our clinicians are Health At Every Size ® and eating disorder-informed. Our mission is to help clients develop more compassionate and authentic relationships with their bodies, food, and movement. We help clients create their own personal definitions of “health” unrelated to societal expectations or outer appearance and that also prioritizes mental health.

We believe that all individuals are valuable and have inherent worth regardless of body size or “health” status. We believe in bringing mental health care to the community that is accessible, approachable, and high quality. For this reason, we offer virtual sessions throughout the whole state of Texas and a variety of payment options including insurance, reduced rates, and private pay. We also include multiple ways of connecting with our administrative team and clinicians to help you find the best support for your unique needs.

Our Values
Our Values
Autonomy
We value aiding our clients in developing confidence, trust, and self-efficacy through informed practices and authentic connection. We meet clients exactly where they are. We believe in our clients’ ability to grow and heal, and we are there to support them along the way while ensuring they have agency throughout the process.
Connection + Collaboration:
We aim to create secure, authentic, and compassionate relationships that promote safety, genuine validation, and trust. The greatest predictor of positive therapeutic outcomes is the relationship we build with our clients in therapy. We approach therapy with curiosity around ways we can cultivate authentic, personalized, and collaborative connections with each client. We appreciate feedback and open dialogue to ensure client success.
Authenticity
We don’t take a cookie-cutter approach to therapy and aim to lead by example in showing up authentically as clinicians so that our clients feel safe to do so as well. We hope to inspire clients to live by their own values and to break free from unhelpful expectations that stand in the way of growth and joy.
